Network Administrator
POSITION SUMMARY
|
Ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network by planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all network hardware, software and communication links. Analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely manner. Provide end user training.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
|
•
|
Perform network design and capacity planning.
|
•
|
Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for network resource administration, appropriate use and disaster recovery.
|
•
|
Implement, configure and maintain telecom/networking hardware and software.
|
•
|
Diagnose problems with network equipment and perform equipment repair or upgrades when appropriate.
|
•
|
Conduct research on network products, services, protocols and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
|
•
|
Manage security solutions, including but not limited to firewall and intrusion detection systems.
|
•
|
Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, printers and network devices.
|
•
|
Maintain hardware and software upgrades on network equipment.
|
•
|
Assist with network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
|
•
|
Work with management on location-specific budgets, forecasts and monthly expenses.
|
•
|
Maintain structured cabling system, WAN, LAN, wireless networks, remote access, VPN’s and connectivity protocols.
|

|
Monitor and test network performance and provide statistics and reports.
|
•
|
Recommend, schedule and perform network improvements, upgrades and repairs.
|
•
|
Provide guidance to other members of the team.
|
•
|
Adhere to written bank policies and procedures as directed.

Maintain good punctuality and attendance to work.

Education:

Associate degree in computer science, or related field (preferred)
One industry certification (Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE)

Experience:

3-5 years of networking experience or a combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills:

Operational knowledge of virtualization, network and routing protocols, switch configuration and firewall management.
Familiarity with a variety of networking and personal computer software.
Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on servers, workstations and peripheral equipment.
