Mortgage Loan Processor - Closer

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Loan Processor/ Closer will perform ordinary tasks associated with processing and closing mortgage loans.  This team member will be responsible for additional duties to include, but is not limited to: locking rates, disclosure reviews, and any other such duties as needed. The Loan Processor will also be responsible for administrating mortgage software including the loan operating system, the secondary locking tool, online application tool, and any other necessary software.

  • Adhere to all governmental regulations and bank policies and procedures as directed

 

  • Have a sense of urgency and professionalism in all aspects of the position

  • Process loans from origination to close in compliance with established regulations and guidelines. These loans include secondary market, and bank portfolio loan products such as construction loans, land loans, bridge loans, and other consumer real estate loans, as they may arise.

  • Order and/or verify services to include title insurance, homeowner’s insurance, flood certificate, flood insurance, appraisal, tax transcripts, surveys, etc., and review for accuracy upon receipt

  • Verify accuracy of loan documents including, but not limited to assets, credit, and income

  

  • Prepare, closing documents and arrange closings with loan officer and closing agents
  • Issue proper disclosures as required by federal regulatory compliance

  • Maintain accuracy of loan origination system

  • Work with the loan officer to coordinate with all parties associated with the loan to obtain documentation for underwriting and closing

  • Respond promptly to customer requests, problems and needs

  • Handle customer transactions efficiently and accurately

  • Maintain a positive attitude and working relationship with all team members and customers

 

  • Maintain good punctuality and attendance to work

  • Assist team with day-to-day functions based on workload and task allocation

  • Perform all other duties as requested or assigned

Education : High school Diploma or Equivalent

 

Experience: 2 to 3 years’ experience required within the mortgage industry dealing with TRID loans, and at least 1-2 years in processing and closing mortgage transactions.  Experience with Encompass mortgage software is required.

Basic Qualifications

Education : High school Diploma or Equivalent
