CNB Courier (Part-Time)

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Run courier route, in bank vehicle, in the Fort Smith and Oklahoma Region. Conduct general mail room operations, including the sorting of incoming mail, stuffing/binding of outgoing mail and delivery/pickup of mail to the appropriate departments. Assist Security Ops department by performing backup responsibilities of each position within the department including requisition fulfillment, statement folding, check and deposit slip printing.

RESPONSIBILITIES
-Deliver mail, other financial institution documents, and supplies between FNB/NBS locations in bank vehicle. Must operate vehicle in a safe and professional manner.
-Fulfill requisitions for supplies and request supplies that need to be ordered
-Check and replenish Coke/Pepsi machines in break rooms and 8th floor board room on a scheduled basis. Order Coke/Pepsi products as needed to replenish the machine. Gather money out of the machines under dual control and deposit into specified bank account.
-Assist with binding check and deposit slip orders received from branches and keep appropriate paperwork showing delivery.
-Pick up mail from post offices and deliver certified mail.
-Ensure delivery of service packages including UPS and Fed Ex.

-Ensure that required maintenance is scheduled and performed on bank vehicles including: oil changes, vehicle maintenance, gas fill ups, and washing and vacuuming the vehicles as needed. No smoking is allowed in bank vehicles. Report any accidents or problems with the vehicles to your supervisor immediately.
-Seal or open envelopes, by hand or by using machines.
-Affix postage to packages or letters by hand, or stamp materials, using postage meters.
-Verify that items are addressed correctly, marked with the proper postage, and in suitable condition for processing.
-Place incoming or outgoing letters or packages into sacks or bins based on destination or type, and place identifying tags on sacks or bins.
-Sort and route incoming mail, and collect outgoing mail from the floors, using carts as necessary.
-Weigh packages or letters to determine postage needed, using weighing scales and rate charts.
-Determine manner in which mail is to be sent, and prepare it for delivery to mailing facilities.
-Remove from machines printed materials such as labeled articles, postmarked envelopes or tape, and folded sheets.
-Add ink, fill paste reservoirs, and change machine ribbons when necessary.
-Inspect mail machine output for defects and determine how to eliminate causes of any defects.
- If working statements, be sure they are in sequential number order and match to statement manifest received from the computer room. Fold statements that are handled manually and insert them in envelopes. If handling statements, be sure to initial work papers.
-Answer inquiries regarding shipping or mailing policies.
-Lock elevators at 4:00pm
-Ensure that rugs are put out as needed out during times of bad weather.
-Back up the Security Operations Department as needed, specifically assist the Security Operations Statement Coordinator on daily duties as needed.
-Complete required bank wide training on assigned topics.
-Any and all other duties assigned by supervisor.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: Clean Driving Record
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills and other standard office equipment.
Certifications & Licenses: Valid Drivers’ License
Other Requirements: Basic knowledge or ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems.
